I have never had Mr. Farrow as an English teacher so I am speaking only from experience as a student in his Drama class which I took through Grade 11 and Grade 12. Mr. Farrow's senior level Drama classes were so much fun and a really great experience for everyone involved. Although some memorization was required, there was a lot of improv as well as a lot of working with scripts in-hand so memorization was not a huge issue. Especially in the 12th Grade, a lot of the class is about the effort of producing a show in all aspects so we spent some time working on costuming or creating props or designing sets. We also focused on directing and script writing as well as script analysis. When you're in Mr. Farrow's class, you will hear a lot about Chekhov and Stanislavsky so you could familiarize yourself with those two a bit if you want to really impress him on the first day of school. Drama is a fantastic option for anyone who wants to improve their public speaking or presentation skills since you will have to perform in front of an audience in this class. The classroom environment is always super supportive with Mr. Farrow in charge. You could be the most terrible actor on earth and you'd still have a good time and be successful in Mr. Farrow's class. It's all about showing improvement, showing dedication and hardwork, and demonstrating some elements of theatre in performance. You'll never feel embarrassed in this class, Mr. Farrow makes sure of it. To be successful in this class, I would advise always showing up to class on time, asking Mr. Farrow questions regarding your work so you know you're meeting his expectations, and not being afraid to show your personality in class. Mr. Farrow's classes are always hilarious and you shouldn't feel afraid to contribute to that with a few jokes of your own!
