Mr. Jeewa tries his best to make learning fun and easy to understand. He tries to use real world examples to help us relate to a topic. He tries to relate to our experiences or background knowledge to help with understanding a concept or idea. For example, when we were learning about government, he would make a chart and use concepts at each end such as a party who believes in higher taxes and one that believes in lower taxes and will talk about political parties from this perspective. Mr. Jeewa tries to make the class a positive place. He does not like bullying or kids bothering another kid. He addresses these as much as possible. Sometimes, you have to stay after school or at recess to speak to him or to tell him your side of the story. So if you don't want to be delayed, then don't get into problems. He does this because he cares. I like that Mr. Jeewa tries to use technology to make learning fun. He helped us use math website to help us learn about math concepts and social studies information. We did this online experiment for Forces in science. Just make sure you are on the right webpage or related webpage or you may have to work on textbook work. Overall I enjoyed my time with Mr. Jeewa. He is kind, understanding and has good humour.
