Lots of memorization, but he's so good at teaching the material I found I never needed to study much before a test. Make sure to have thorough and neat notes. It is a missable class, as long as you get the note off of someone. As long as you put in as much effort as you can, you'll get a high mark!
As you will not be allowed to have your phone, try to actually learn French through the year. Lots of memorization, but you'll survive. Studying is optional. There will be daily questions you'll have to answer in front of everyone (in French), so as soon as you see the question, try to come up with a vague answer before she calls on you.
