You'll do the standard English curriculum work: essays, tests (not too many though), and oral presentations. However, he likes to throw in some fun, creative projects too (e. g. Shakespeare role-playing). Make sure to review all rubrics thoroughly, and you should be good.

He always puts definitions on his tests, so STUDY THESE!!! You'll have quizzes, tests, and some graded homework throughout the term, plus a presentation (worth 10% if I remember correctly) and an exam at the end of the course. There are also opportunities for bonus marks!!!! At any given time (it's too random to predict), he'll give you a question that you'll answer on a piece of paper (harder than usual, but nothing impossible as long as you've been keeping up with the homework). He'll give you a bonus mark if you get the question right - he records all the bonus marks throughout the term, then distributes them to the evaluations you did the worst on (not including the exam).

You will ALWAYS be allowed a formula sheet for tests, quizzes, and the exam. Aside from these, you'll do a lab report and/or assignment for each unit (mostly applying physics formulas and concepts, not a whole ton of writing involved), and if you're in the grade 12 physics course, you'll have an end-of-semester project where you analyze bad physics in film and television (very fun!! ). Test structure is usually multiple-choice, short answer, and POSSIBLY an analysis question where you apply physics concepts.
