For math and physics, do the skills/practice exams, as well as the hard/spicy questions. He sometimes gives opportunities to upgrade, so you have a "second shot" if you do bad in an exam, so you should definitely keep updating your understanding, instead of understanding for the sake of getting it over with (But don't think of that as him being an easy marker, if you study accordingly you won't find him hard). Don't be afraid to ask him any question, no matter how "dumb" it seems, he is available to help 90% of the times.

This review is based on my experience in his Grade 11 Functions class: - He is always available at break; ask any questions you have ASAP! - Explore every possibility of transformations (vertical stretch/horizontal compression/translations) in the investigations - Complete the homework the day it is assigned if you can, it can begin to pile up and become overwhelming if not - From the mild-spicy questions; push yourself to reach the spicy level. Most of the questions on the test(s) are in the medium range, but practising the spicy questions will build your confidence. - All of the content on the tests and exam are taught in class, with no thinking questions/tricks. He gives you all the material you need for assessments and gives plenty of notice. - Tests are not the end of the world; if you didn't get the mark you want you can always do an upgrade at anytime in the course - DO NOT PUSH OFF THE FINANCIAL MATH ASSIGNMENT UNTIL LATER! It is weighted very heavily in the financial math/discrete functions unit, and will sneak up on you if you forget about it. - Use Demos to double check your graphs/visualise your answers better. Finally: don't give up:)

Mr. Neal was one of my best math teacher. I started hating math but having him as my teacher got my interest toward math again. He gives multiple chances to improve your mark more importantly you are given exam quizzes multiple throughout the year which in turn payout well as you are accustomed to solving those problems.
