Firstly, pay attention to the material. The material is presented in a way where you know what elements to copy for notes. Also, the slideshows are online to review outside of class or copy anything you missed. If information is missing because the ones online aren't updated, ask him for it. If you need his help, you need to ask earlier in the day, or right after class is finished if you can meet with him later. It can be hard to find him outside of class time. Secondly, do the work. It teaches you a lot about reading and understanding history documents and applying what you have learned in class. It might seem like a lot but it isn't that bad and gets easier as the course progresses. Fourthly, don't complain. The amount of work isn't as bad as it seems and at the end of the course, you'll look back and realize it was easy. Overall, the class is excellent. It is challenging but also made fun by the teacher. Don't give up, and work hard. You'll do fine in the class.

Pay. Attention. It seems obvious but it isnt. Take notes every class, Don't be late to class. Your midterm is easy, just try to use as many of the words you learn in class as you physically can. End of semester exam is quite easy too, same rules apply
