Mrs. Johnston's grade 8 & 9 English classes were very consistent and there were never any surprises. Common assignments are quizzes, tests, posters, presentations and occasionally essays. The tests and quizzes are usually very consistent with the material taught in class, specifically for grammar tests. However, tests and quizzes based on books or poetry are usually very memorization-heavy, although they are always multiple choice.
