Make sure that you take notes on what he says and not just the chapter because he uses a lot of helpful analogies and the way he explains things is often better than the chapter. The lab reports are always out of 20 and they aren't that bad because you get to correct your mistakes on the first few. Take the advice your classmates give you because by the end you'll have to write a report without a good copy. His website is kinda confusing but you'll get the hang of it. If you can, read the chapters ahead of time. then you can answer questions and get I higher participation mark.
M. Mirmiran's grade 8 & 10 (and maybe 9, but I have no personal experience) science classes were very straightforward. One unit per term, several quizzes and one test per unit. Also, there are occasionally reports which require some writing but usually boost marks. M. Mirmiran is very helpful and spends several minutes answering questions before quizzes and tests, which I found very helpful. He really wants his students to succeed and it shows. Projects are very rare but they really help raise marks.
