he allows you to ask questions from the homework, it helps to utilize the time. Class time is given for a reason, do the work in class. Multiple choice questions on test are worth 6%, so don't mess up :) study with the provincial practice review that he provides because they are similar to the actual tests, and most are challenging. ask questions with your classmates, they help sometimes (after they're done laughing at you. _. ) don't get discouraged, he looks disappointed at you all the time.

People like to throw a lot of crap around about who is the best/most challenging math teacher. I’ve been in many teachers classes and I’m here to put an end to this mystery. The answer to both is Mr. Ahn. Mr. Ahn’s classes are difficult, do not get me wrong. They are under no circumstances a walk in the park. BUT if you want to succeed in a career in mathematics, he’s the best teacher at FH to get you there. His lessons are well planned and thoughtful, even if they are a little tedious with the proofing. He assigns a daunting amount of homework, but normally not all of it needs to be completed to fully understand the concept, and he doesn’t check. That being said, he does give you time to work in class, and expects you to use it. His tests are hard. Really hard. He likes to get creative with his questions, but generally it comes in handy in future classes, because your understanding of the topic must be thorough in order to perform well. Despite all of the points I mentioned above though, his class can actually be quite pleasant. He’s really friendly if you’re a hardworking student, and does not shame anyone based on their mathematical abilities. I always felt comfortable attending flex, and he was available when I needed him, making it easy for students to succeed. Overall, his courses are great for students who are passionate about math and plan on taking AP courses. If you hate math, or have an attitude problem, I would advise you pick a different teacher.

The teacher is pretty chill and nice, however he is a VERY hard marker. You can still do very well in his class, but his quizzes are out of like 7 so it's hard to get an A on those. Go in for flex and have him help with you writing/understanding. Also, for his quizzes, make sure you know all the stuff he talked about in class, sometimes he'll have random names/dates on the quizzes, but don't stress too much it's a pretty good class.
