This is my first semester with Joanne and it will be my last. I HIGHLY recommend not taking ANY course with her. Here are my reasons: The semester started off great, class twice a week, clear instruction of all assignments. Joanne really seemed like a nice lady. After those first two weeks she abandoned the class and said its a self directed course. I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THAT. It is now near the end of the semester and the last time our class touched base with Joanne was september.... it seems like she simply does not care to teach and has better things to do. Even when I reached out with questions for further explanation the response I get back from her are completely blunt nothing more. All she does for entire semester is posts videos of her summarizing the chapters as robotically possible, tells you what chapters to read, and the test are all multiple choice. If you want a self directed course that you won't learn anything from take one with Joanne, she'll be a great fit for you. May as well just buy a marketing textbook or book and read it yourself because that's all this course is. She has marked my papers but gave me absolutely no feedback, just a grade which was fair. She assigned us with a marketing simulation which was the only assignment/criteria for all of november AN ENTIRE MONTH OF MEANINGLESSNESS! The simulation looks like it was made in the 90's, the game results are completely random and it doesn't have anything to do with the textbook (besides the 4P's), I've learned absolutely nothing about marketing from this simulation. It and the report are worth a huge portion of our grade. BY the way this junk simulation was not free, believe it cost me around $70. The only things I've learned are directly from the textbook which isn't all that exciting. All and all she could care less about her students, education and future. This course was a complete waste of time, effort, and money. Please never take this course. She does not deserve to be a university instructor with the amount of effort she puts in. Thanks.
