The ability to participate is appreciated but students are never forced to talk and are rarely put on the spot. Most of the activities change based on what the students want to learn about so if you're going into the class because of a specific topic, it's best to inform the teacher because you might get a unit on it :)

It's an easy class as long as you care about the subject. The end project is actually extremely difficult as you have to do something in the community (or create a starting point for somebody else to finish at least. ) So you should make sure you have something in mind before you start the class
