Formulas are important- memorize them he doesn't really explain all the steps- he rushes it and moves on leaving you confused part of the time he does hard equations on the test so be prepared

I would try to motivate them, and help them out if they need help memorizing, I would say for ex: say the formula 21 times and you will remember it!
