Stay awake, and pay attention. Also, although the homework sheets might be technically optional, it would benefit anyone who's not a prodigy to work on it a little bit each night.

Mr. Gill is known as one of the best math teachers in the school, if not the best. He also has a reputation for being a bit out of pocket, but it definitely makes his classes more entertaining. He has pretty defined expectations for his students, but if he sees you're struggling (as I often did due to some other issues), he often has a little bit of mercy on you. If you fall asleep, appear distracted, or come in late, he might make a few jokes on your expense but everyone in the class takes turns being the butt of the joke, and he's never really mean.
