Some things to expect: Expect some writing projects. We did a few back in 2016. One was a remembrance day writing piece, we wrote an essay or something like that. It was about what soldiers went through during the war. Also, be prepared for some sketches. We did multiple sketches on the books he read to the class. We sketched scenes from the books Kira Kira, Sounder, and Run by Eric Walters. We also did a science project (one of those on a poster), so expect that as well. For science, we learned about atoms, electric circuits, living animals, and cells. By the way, this was from 4 years ago so I'm not sure if might've things changed. Some things that you should do are: Hand in homework on time, he doesn't like it when work is turned in late. Be respectful to others, Mr. Nyznik really likes it when a student is kind and respectful. Last but not least, have fun, he teaches grades 6 and 7, so you're still a kid. Don't stress that much over things. Just do your best and you should be fine :) In my opinion, Mr. Nyznik is a great teacher. He doesn't just teach you how to be a better student but also a better person. His class isn't boring as well, he makes jokes and may pick on some of you. But don't stress, it's only meant for fun and to loosen the class up. He is a chill teacher and isn't super strict. Although, he expects you to do your best work. He also likes students who are respectful and nice towards others.
