Don't be late (he's really strict about that). Complete everything. Actually pay attention. It may seem really hard in the beginning but you'll get used to it. The week follows the same routines (for the most part). If you allow it, you will gain a lot of knowledge from his class.

I can confidently say that this guy was the worst teacher I’ve ever had in my years of grade school. He was always late to class (typically anywhere between 10-40 minutes) but would chastise other students for being late. He never actually gave us our print-outs and just left them sitting on a table with the print-outs for all his other classes and tell us to get it. He never gave us any sort of schedules or deadlines whatsoever, which was incredibly hard for me. His lessons were flat and ineffective, and he didn’t seem to actually care if any of the students really understood it. He was also really rude to the E.A. (Including PHYSICALLY HITTING HIM WITH A FILE) and would make inappropriate jokes to another female math teacher when she would step in. (An example is him telling her “We won’t need you after we find someone younger and prettier.”) And the final and most concerning thing he did was make jokes about killing and/or hurting us, often going very in-depth about it. Three notable examples are: him telling us he’d shoot us if we ask too many questions, and then pretending to shoot someone and watch their head explode; talking about killing us and going in-depth about burying us in the community garden; and going into gruesome detail about how he’d rip off our fingernails if we touched anything on his desk. Mr. Loveday is a truly terrible teacher and I have no idea how he still has his job.
