You have to summarize the chapters of the textbook(at least in AP), but other than that pain its an okay course. You do need to study a bit and actually know what the topic is for the exam. She is a very fast paced teacher however with a lot of energy.
I would recommend anybody taking this class to study because you are learning a new language but you don't need to go the extra mile. Be prepared to socialize with other students (examples: speaking to other students in Japanese). Don't worry too much though because everybody doesn't know what they're doing and Ms. Crossley makes it very fun even if you're an introvert.
depending in your in his English class or one of the other ones he teaches, the following might not be helpful: work on your essay skills, tests you just need to know the reference text well (no need for memorizing)
