Esterhuizen is very passionate about English, so she expects a lot, especially if you're in 30-1. If you do not format properly or she suspects the use of generative AI for a submitted assignment, expect extremely steep grade drops that become harder to climb back up with as the semester roars on. My friends and I always felt inconfident handing in an assignment that we'd confidently hand in to another teacher to her because we feared a plummeting grade. Many people had averages below 50%, but if you pay close attention in her class, you should be fine
