The tests are extremely difficult, and concepts are often not taught fully in class. Instead you are given one or two pre-copied examples from the workbook. Practice outside of class is essential. Try and do extremely well on big exams; such as the midterm, and final exams. Be prepared to teach yourself part of the curriculum. Get a tutor.

Do the homework. She does homework checks and sometimes will mark you for it. If the class as a whole doesn't do their homework, she'll do more homework checks. So try and get in her math class with good classmates that do her homework and halfway through the semester, she'll do less (or no) homework checks. All (if not, most) of the stuff on her tests is also in her homework assignments, which is why she does these homework checks. Study, and there will be no reason for you to complain.

She is a caring teacher that does her best to teach. She goes through everything step by step which is great if you are a slow learner, but drags on at times if you are a fast learner. If you put in the effort, you will do well in this class. She does an amazing job at covering the basics of mathematics which is super important in upper years and in university. I've had her as my teacher for 3 years at my time in highschool and I wouldn't have it any other way.
