Important to write notes during class, not necessarily anything and everything, just what helps you understand the content, especially during the history units, Will say; it is sometimes hard to keep up with Geoff, very often needed to ask him to take a second or go a bit slower.
Class of 2020
Recommend working with others to try and write notes rather than attempting to write all your notes on your own. The teacher has extremely high expectations of students for essays and assignments although he doesn't really care about how you might feel about the workload or the topic, unless you ask for help you won't get it.

Class of 2022
Mr. Holt can be a bit of a struggle as a teacher sometimes, and even further when you are involved with the student council. He is a terrific teacher for certain kinds of students, however, it is hard to learn when you do not simply understand content from reading notes off a whiteboard. The near-daily reviews of the content at the start of lessons are excellent, however, he can sometimes get sidetracked during class and go on tangents.
Class of 2020
He walks around very fast and always has somewhere to be, rarely has time to talk to students, unless it's to plan something he is interested in. Overall he is an excellent teacher but he has his moments.
