Whether they were jokes or not, this teacher gave me and my friends many memorable and inspirational speeches, even if sometimes all they were about was whether or not my friend should've been able to represent a chess piece in our giant chess game (which most of us already supported anyways, though to speech make it concrete). Always a pleasure to be in his class, and he always believed in me, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
